Live-in Relationships

This is an absolutely new type of concept that has developed in the western countries. This concept describes about a relationship where two like minded individuals mutually decide to come into a romantic relationship but they do not wish to get married, rather they live together and share the same apartment, share their expenditures equally and spend their lives. The reasons for this new concept to gain acceptance is nowadays our life is always in a fast lane, many people around get involved in many different professions and remain stuck in such a way that normal course of having a family life may become tough at a certain stage. Nowadays new and new professions are coming and our socio-economic structure is also changing, previously there used to be only a few professions and most people used to opt for those educations which relate to those professions only, but nowadays more and more new professions and activities are coming into the scenario where different cultures and avenues are touched. Many different segments of culture have been uplifted and they have been treated with utmost importance. Thus more and more people have opted for different segments of education. In such a state where people are getting involved in many different ways to earn their living or to fulfill their wishes, in such a condition it is seen that the form of relationships are also changing. For our betterment and comfortability nowadays we are reshaping certain forms of relationships and moulding them as per our requirement so that we can maintain a proper balance between our personal life and professional life.

Live-in relationships have come to the scenario from these certain situations where both the male and the female partner mutually agree to each other’s views and choices and fall in love with each other. They do not take the association of marriage but they do stay together as they like a couple. They share everything hand in hand, starting from every household chore to every other matter related to their daily livelihood. Generally we see that most couples in a live-in relationship are working couples. They share a relationship where things generally remain devoid of complications and all things are settled with proper logic, may it be matters related to expenditures or something other than these. Generally in a live-in relationship couples do not remain stuck to many responsibilities of a family, rather they make their own rules to maintain their relationship and they make sure that these lasts for long. Generally the reason for this concept to emerge is, in some cases we have seen that in a family where there are working parents, children are seen to be deprived from certain emotional issues and it may lead to a distance in the relationship between the parents and their children. Thus this concept of living together without being married came into the our society where a couple ideally love each other and take care of each other and they also maintain a balance in their professional career giving it the importance that it requires from a professional individual.

One another advantage of this concept is that it gives an idea about choosing your right partner. It may often happen in any romantic relationship that in the initial stage of the relation two different individuals get attracted to each other but later when they come closer to each other they realize that there are compatibility problems and they are not the best fit for each other. Not every time a romantic relationship that has started with a soothing effect will last for long or it will remain to be healthy throughout the life. In those cases we have seen that after a certain time even after marriage, couples have parted their ways, though in many cases it was evident that both of them were honest and good individuals but they were not the right ones for each other. Thus many relationships got broken and remained unsuccessful at the end. But in this regard live-in relationships proved to be better because after spending a few days with someone it becomes easier for us to know about him or her, an idea develops about the person we are living with and thus we can make a choice as to whether we can continue with this person in future or not. After spending time with someone it makes us feel that whether we are choosing the right one for the relationship that we are dreaming about or we still need to reconsider things before tying the knot. By doing this we give ourselves a chance to have a better relationship and to live a better life. Before coming into a committed relationship if we get to know the person that we will be living with from beforehand then it gives us an idea as to what to do and what not to do in order to make the best out of the relationship.
